Open-air swimming pool in Horná Streda
It’s situated nearly the village Horná Streda. There are a stands with drinks and warm foods, the rental of boats and water-bikes.
Water skiing
There is especially built area with water-ski tow in the Ratnovská cove. It operates during July and Agust. There are available water skiing, loan of a kneeboards, loan of a neoprene and beach-voleyball playground.
Fishing
Fishing is available e.g. at: a branch of a river behind Spa Island, river Váh, Ratnovská cove, Horná Streda, Drahovské lakes and water basin Čerenec.
Tennis
There are several tennis courts in Piešťany. You can play tennis e.g. directly in area of swimming pool Eva. There are two clay courts with quality terrene.
Squash
Squash club offers four air-conditioned courts for squash, a rental of squash equipment, table-tennis, relaxation massages and refreshments in bar.
Golf
Golf course is situated at northern sector of Spa Island. There are nine holes and all, what fall into golf area.
Tourism
The region is full of tourist paths. You may take a trip to nearly “Červená veža” or Bachus villa. Trip to “Čertova pec” through Obrázková mount is little harder. There is a cave with signs of primeval occupancy. Trip to Bezovec is interesting too. There is tourist-sports centre, which provides fine conditions for tourism.
Bicycling and skating
Piešťany and plain surroundings are ideal for bicycling. There is built asphalt road for pedestrians, bikers or skaters around a dam. Bikers can use Vážska artery for visiting adjacent towns: Hlohovec, Nové Mesto Nad Váhom, Beckov. Forest terrain of Považský Inovec is suitable for mountain bikes.
Skiing
Ski resort Bezovec conducts five ski-lifts and downhill courses with length from 300 to 600 m. Night skiing is available too. Other ski resort Ahoj nearly the village Banka is apt for unpretending skiers.
Ruins of Castle Čachtice
A ruin of famous castle is situated on limestone-dolomite hill of Čachtický karst.

Reconstructed ruin of castle lies on steep 70 m mountainous cliff above the village Beckov.

Castle Hlohovec
Monumental baroque castle Hlohovec stays on southern spur of Považský Inovec above the Váh valley. It is landmark of town Hlohovec.

A ruin of this castle stays on side crotch of Považský Inovec. It’s one of highly situated castles in Slovakia.
Distance from Piešťany: less then 30 km to Bezovec by the road, then afoot.
